Review of Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) by Angelsanzcorrea — 08 Jul 2022
The conservative-bro, anti-fun, cringe-brigade is out in force again giving zeroes; but as usual, alas, just ignore them. This is the most heartfelt and inner-connected Thor we've seen, and his progression (as well as the other characters') felt natural and earned.
Gorr was great, as was the art direction again. The humorous tone of the film may not be for everyone but I personally find it not only delightful and fun, but –more importantly– much more relevant and appropriate for such holier-than-thou superheroes; ironically, it makes me care for and connect with them in a deeper way than the serious superhero films, which end up being the silliest.
Love ad Thunder may not Marvel's best, but it's certainly up there.
