A high caliber Marvel effort. Hemsworth is ideal as Thor whilst Portman brings credibility to the female love interest. There is something slick and exciting about Branagh's direction. The film is suspenseful, romantic, funny, thematic and visually in tune.
It just ticks the boxes and is perfect popcorn fun. The Avengers setup after the credits particularly in this Marvel outing, however, is unwarranted and lacks excitement.
