Review of Thor (2011) by Chris B — 24 Mar 2017
Re-watching this film after a long time I can't say I was particularly looking forward to it but I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the film was. Both Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston fully embody the roles and make you believe they are feuding brothers.
It is fully understandable why Loki has been brought back multiple times as the only convincing Marvel villain to date. I thought Asgard could have been explored a bit more and Thor's line about how 'magic' is just another form of sciences is almost thrown in as a way for the creators to get away with whatever they want.
My only other criticism would be aimed at Natalie Portman who almost seems like she doesn't want to really be there. For an actress of her calibre it is thought that maybe a more substantial part could have been found/created.
