Review of Thor (2011) by R Treybian P — 09 Aug 2015
It's great translation from comic to the big screen. Awesome choice, for Odin. Anthony Hopkins owns! Thor's initial arrogance was a bullseye. Best of all, Thor's love for Loki was palpable.
I knew... felt that despite everything, Thor would always love him. Asgard was awesome. Heimdall frakking ruled. And loved how, as magical as it seemed, Asgardian power looked based on science. Of course, they did get alot wrong.
I did not enjoy being forced to swallow, ironically, Natalie Portman once again "falling in love" with the protagonist. I'm starting to think that it's her, and not just bad story telling.
And I couldn't by her as a scientist, any more than I bought Jessica Alba as one. Just stop already. No Donald Blake? Really? No cane? Third, no Thor & Sif. COME ON!!!! It definitely could have been better than it was.
