Review of Thor (2011)

By Tom Huddleston (600) for Time Out (7,510) on 26 Apr 2011

An endearing throwback to simpler times: when men were men, gods were gods and heroes looked like bodybuilders who'd just raided the dress-up…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Michael Bonner (121) for Uncut Magazine [UK] (201) on 26 Apr 2011

Hiddleston does sly and manipulative with relative restraint, that balances out Hemsworth's shouty braggadocio…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Chris Hewitt (1) (113) for Empire (3,446) on 25 Apr 2011

Turn off the snark-o-meter, and this is a return to form for Marvel, introducing a new hero we'll be happy to see again in, oh, about a year or so…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Richard Kuipers (66) for Variety (12,700) on 25 Apr 2011

Review of Thor (2011)

By Stella Papamichael (611) for Digital Spy (1,161) on 25 Apr 2011

Review of Thor (2011)

By Jason Best (961) for Movie Talk (957) on 25 Apr 2011

Review of Thor (2011)

By Charlie Lyne (195) for Ultra Culture (187) on 24 Apr 2011

Thor may not have the star power, street cred or brand recognition of some of its fellow Marvel titles, but at least it's funny and fun…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Matt Neal (458) for ABC Radio (Australia) (677) on 23 Apr 2011

Lens flares aside, Branagh has done a superb job at grounding (Thor's) more fantastical moments, and ensuring nothing feels too silly or over-the-top…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Garth Franklin (268) for Dark Horizons (452) on 21 Apr 2011

The trickiest of the Avengers line-up to translate to the screen, 'Thor' deserves a lot of praise for getting right something that could have…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Peter Galvin (80) for sbs.com.au (697) on 20 Apr 2011

Review of Thor (2011)

By Giles Hardie (120) for Sydney Morning Herald (1,256) on 20 Apr 2011

A magnificent space romp that will thrill even the most cynical viewer, and a fantastic and fantastical reason to make the trip to the cinema…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Jeremy Aspinall (70) for Radio Times (2,421) on 20 Apr 2011

Hopkins brings gravitas rather than ham to his role, Hiddleston's Loki is a villain to look out for and the action is suitably earth-shattering…

Review of Thor (2011)

By Margaret Pomeranz (380) for At the Movies (Australia) (716) on 19 Apr 2011

Performances are fine; Hopkins is an imposing Odin and Chris Hemsworth is obviously on his way to real stardom with this…

By Xan Brooks (287) for Guardian (4,584) on 18 Apr 2011
