A Sports Movie for those of us who could care less about Sports Movie. Richard Harris is a revelation as a troubled Rugby player with anger issues who is drawn to his withdrawn landlady (Rachel Roberts).
Added realism points as Harris was an accomplished rugby player and Roberts was an accomplished angry drunk with serious relationship issues in her marriage to Rex Harrison.
