Review of This Must Be the Place (2011) by Racer R — 14 Sep 2011
This Must Be The Place. The acting is superb, the dialogue worthy, the pace..too slow at the mid point. Like watching 90 minutes of Tai Chi. Funny. But, and here comes the but. The ending(s). (SPOILER ALTERT) 1st ending.
..really ? I mean really? So revenge is okay. Is that the idiotic message you chose to deliver after such a lovely symphony of acting. Are we conditioned to believe that only one race can enjoy and SMILE at the psychological threat of violence, because somehow one group feels it is okay.
This was disgusting. Immature. And certainly not thought out. Weak. The 'second' ending....what was the point? Umm look at me now, I intimidated a 90 year old, now I smoke and am a man ? I cut my hair cuz only real men have short hair.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ....is it 1950? Idiotic ending(s)..made me wonder whose heavy hand farted on this film. Ah...and one last thing...really..i mean really...did we need to watch an entire Talking Heads song.
I mean we are all not all sitting around smoking pot and watching this at home. A few of us paid to see it at the cinema. Boring performance by Byrne, should have been cut or faded out after 30 seconds.
