Review of This Must Be the Place (2011) by Lauren H — 05 May 2012
Slightly convoluted, perhaps 30 minutes too long, but undeniably heart-felt, poignant, and includes all the right elements of a cinematic great. Penn is outstanding, McDormand is, as always, McDormand, and set to (and titled by) one of my personal favourite songs of all time.
(God bless David Byrne!) There were lines and shots within this film that will forever stay with me. This was more than 'just another road movie' - this was a coming of age movie telling the tale of someone who should've came of age a very long time ago.
Fantastic, utterly fantastic.
