A coming-of-age story of a different kind. Courageous and daring part for Sean Penn, and he mastered it with aplomb. If you're into indie films bordering on the surreal/absurd, like David Byrne and Frances McDormand and don't require a fast moving story to keep your attention, then this is for you.
