There were times where I reached for the remote to turn, Thus Must Be The Place, off, as there were too many plot points that needed to be puzzled together and I remember thinking, "This seems like a filmmaker's technique of engaging the audience with mystery in the hope of turning an otherwise boring movie into something watchable"; in the end, I was correct.
