I have no excuse watching This Means War! Usually my wife is the culprit to make me watch romantic comedies but this time I decided myself to check out this romantic comedy/spy film combination directed by McG (remember Charlie's Angels?). I didn't mind that type of action with humour, and when I saw that Reese Witherspoon is in it - I thought to myself: this could be fun! Of course, for the girls, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy as victims of a love triangle could be a better choice.

The story about CIA agents and best friends FDR Foster (Chris Pine) and Tuck Hansen (Tom Hardy) discovering that they are dating the same woman had potential. But if was just a dud at the end! Sam Worthington was attached to star in This Means War, but dropped out and was replaced by Tom Hardy... Bradley Cooper was also attached to star in the film, but left the project... Seth Rogen also turned down a role... and after watching the movie I understand why! This romantic comedy must be a career lowlight for all three stars - this movie was loud, edited with too many continuity errors and other mistakes, and wasn't romantic or funny. The spy part had silly action sequences grew tedious and just didn't fit with the rest! Whatever worked in Charlie's Angels for McG didn't here because he couldn't decide whether he's making a spy action flick with romance interspersed or a rom-com filled with action.

Forgetable!
