I usually go out to a movie when my school has our overnight conference. I chose to see 'This is Where I Leave You'. I am reserved to see a comedy because of the fear of wasting my money in case the humor isn't my kind of humor.
I walked out of the movie with a revelation that that my favorite films list may need some adjusting. 'This is Where I Leave You' might be my favorite movie now. It was so funny, and the characters were so relatable and I teared up from laugh out loud moments and somber ones too.
I can not remember a movie like this in a long time that impacted me the way it did. I got back to my hotel room and tweeted the director, Shawn Levy, thanking him for that film and it was exactly what I needed.
He tweeted me back thanking me! Grade for 'This is Where I Leave You': A+.
