Review of This Is Where I Leave You (2014) by Brett B — 22 Dec 2014
It just pulls off what it intends. Good for a decent number of laughs. Jane Fonda was as good as the rest at showing her humanity - faults and all. The one strange thing was their acting Jewish, while not actually being Jewish.
The characters even had to do Jewish funeral customs. Not sure if it was like that in the book. But the whole movie seemed like it would have Jewish characters but instead of getting Jewish actors, the director just told them all to act like it and wrote it in the script to have the dead father wish them to act like it.
