The end of the world is a pretty hot property right now in Hollywood, so this comedy send up is pretty clever in it's premiss that it's the end of the world with a hilarious cast of Hollywood actors playing "themselves.
" Trapped in James Franco's house are Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. It's hard to say who in the group is is funniest, but I think I liked Franco and McBride probably made me laugh the most.
There's also terrific smaller roles for a wonderfully coked out Michael Cera, a very skittish Paul Rudd (carrying a giant champagne bottle), a conceited Jason Segel and quite a few others, though Emma Watson's scenes are by far the best! Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Channing Tatum, Martin Starr, Kevin Hart and Aziz Ansari all also appear as themselves.
Not all the bit work and there are some parts that drag a bit, overall it's a very funny film for fans of this group of actors. Rogan and Evan Goldberg wrote and directed the film.
