This is the end is a one trick pony done well. The idea of a group of actors playing themselves during an apocalyptic scenario is just about sustainable for a movie. What makes this film fun is its ridiculous over the top special affects which add a bit of the humour themselves.
Unfortunately most of the dialog isn't funny at all and some of it is embarrassingly unfunny.
