Review of This Is Spinal Tap (1984) by Edgar C — 31 Dec 2012
A brilliant spoof of pop-cultured banalities. Rob Reiner thinks out of the box for the first and last time in his career. Christopher Guest is one of the collaborators of such a groundbreaking screenplay, releasing theatrically one of the most influential films of the 80s. Magnificent inside jokes for all of us music lovers, portraying band members, although stereotipically, as human beings totally devoid of any sign of intelligence except for the one they need to lay their fingers on an instrument and know how to play it. Marvelous masterpiece and I actually can't believe how h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s it was.
97/100.
