Review of This Is Spinal Tap (1984) by Matthew W — 05 Aug 2011
Mockumentary about washed-up rockers (played perfectly by Guest, McKean, and Shearer) doesn't have the strongest narrative and loses a bit of its spontaneous, documentary style at times but is still hilarious due to the natural performances from the entire cast.
The songs are excellent and cover a large range of signature band styles, including 80's hairbands and the Rolling Stones. Great cameos scattered throughout.
