A depressing film. It was very human and even touching in places. I found the context depressing as well as the way the story turned out and the unpleasant characters in it. By no means everyone was unpleasant though and I liked that.
What was most depressing was the fact that this captured a particular period in English history and yet, we don't seem to have moved on from then much.
