Review of This Is England (1941) by Lígia C — 18 Jul 2009
A much better film than the overhyped Son of Rambow that deals with an ostracized boy who finds comfort in the company of a group of skinheads. I didn't fully buy into the lead's motives for joining the gang in the first place, but the actor's performance more than made up for the writing.
An interesting twist on the coming of age film.
