Whereas it's predecessor "Knocked Up" delivered a film with humor, heart, and an overall great story, "This is 40" seemed to be centered on random humor. I can't complain, however, since I personally really enjoyed the film, mainly due to the acting and writing, but it just didn't live up to the expectations I had after watching "Knocked Up".
