Review of Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (1944) by Dave R — 02 May 2011
Based on a true story "30 seconds over tokyo" recounts how america struck back at japan following pearl harbor. the dramatic build up in the first hour is a bit tedious and a little too light-hearted for me. when the action starts I enjoyed it more. later there's a little too much saccharine camaraderie between the chinese and americans (which seems very out of place in this day and age! you'd think we were destined to be the greatest of allies!).
Nevertheless it's a fairly enjoyable watch if you're in the mood for an old fashioned war movie.
