Review of Thirteen Days (2000) by Willem W — 30 Nov 2007
This is a fine film about the days when Politicians were concerned with people, not ideology. The accents are a little shaky (Mr. Costner!) But this is an engrossing and tension-filled drama about a time when the world was brought to the brink of nuclear war.
Watching this film again after 7 years of a Bush White House, I wonder if the days will ever return that politicians are ruled by reason, the best interests of ALL people, and an ideology based on the value of human life.
One can only hope.
