Review of Thirteen Days (2000) by Eric C — 16 Jul 2008
I loved this movie. I think it is the history nerd inside of me that really drew me to it. Plus, I saw it right after I got back from my mission so I loved the Russian throughout.
Bobby Kennedy really is a hero. JFK is, well, JFK. It is amazing to watch this movie and see how "talking to your enemies" sometimes might be a good idea. I know Barack hates America and all, but maybe he's right about some things. If McCain had been in office back then, he would have nuked Cuba.
Finally, Kevin Costner plays Kevin Costner as a Kennedy friend turned presidential advisor with a really great accent.
