Review of Thirteen Days (2000) by Leigh R — 02 Sep 2008
Smart (for me, educational) and gripping account of the Cuban missile crisis from inside the White House. Underrated.
By far the worst thing about the film is Kevin Costner. I usually have nothing against him, but he breaks out an AWFUL Boston accent as one of the Kennedys' top aides and confidante. The actors who play JFK and RFK are great, and make a much better choice in underplaying the Boston accent.
