Review of Thirteen Days (2000) by Dan K — 01 Feb 2011
A very interesting and good story with some timeless lessons woven in, I kept wondering why they chose to focus on the Kenny character (the assistant to the president) and why he was the main character when there's two very awesome and important characters from history standing right next to him the whole time.
.. J.F.K. AND Bobby Kennedy! In my opinion this choice almost undermines Jack and Bobby by choosing to revolve around Kenny, it makes him seem really important and seems to give him credit when (according to my post-film research) this is credit he really doesn't deserve.
.. I can't help but wonder if this was just because the "star" of the film Kevin Costner wouldn't make a believable Kennedy... haha.
