Review of Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) by George M — 01 Aug 2007
Subtle connective storyline has always been one of my favorite drama categorizations. Unfortunately, the creators/director falls in their own trap to try and create gripping, smart drama. Unfortunately this movie falls in the smart category.
It tries to be clever, but a script, which sometimes is fantastic and sometimes is just plain boring affects it negatively. The performances are good, with Alan Arkin distinctively providing a brilliant performance.
Not the easiest movies to watch and not the movie that will stay with me for good.
