Review of Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) by Lady D — 07 Nov 2007
Pretty good, and a decent cast including some of my favorites. Even better, Matthew McConaughey in a decent role that's not at all The Wedding Planner/How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days/Failure to Launchesque ad nauseam.
It's sort of a commentary on happiness, and one where none of the characters are connected at the beginning, but as it progresses, things begin to make more sense.
Alan Arkin and Clea DuVall are good as always.
The subplot with John Turturro doesn't interest me in the least and seems to be added, at least mostly, for one real reason.
Still, something you shouldn;t miss, but one you very well may have,.
