Review of Thirteen (2003) by Lee G — 05 Aug 2010
This is an unsparing look at the results of parental neglect and teen rebellion. Young kids want to belong so badly, they reach out and grab hold of the first thing that sticks, even if that something is bad for them.
We watch as a smart kid takes a wrong turn and begins a downward spiral until she hits rock bottom. Being a kid is tough and this shows just how mean teenagers can be. The performances are fantastic and the cast is perfect.
