Review of Thirteen (2003) by Sebastian I — 07 Feb 2012
Excellent look at the temptations of teenagers growing up in todays influential society, especially under peer pressure and from broken homes. Surprising thing about this film is that it was written by Nikki Reed who obviously knew the characters well(and therefore performed them), and showed in the realistic almost documentary style of this film.
A dramatic film, it displays an unrelenting and tragic mood, however this shows its intentions of education and understanding, rather than a false sense of fantasy or make believe.
