Review of Thirteen (1988) by Danny T — 15 Jan 2014
The behaviour portrayed by Tracy & Evie in this dramatic coming of age film is more than just rebelling teenagers and together go over the edge beyond their own expectations and control. The emotion depicted is raw & harrowing - heightened by the unconventional more basic filming you lose yourself within the story and at the end having to remind myself they're thirteen - encompassing the roles of all characters creates an emotionally numbing performance, "Kids (1995)" could take a lot from this.
