Review of Think Like a Man Too (2014) by Greg B — 22 Jun 2014
"Think Like a Man Too" is a middle-of-the-road Kevin Hart comedy with just enough pizazz and laughs to generate mild fervor but not enough gusto to really stand out. Two of Kevin Hart's friends in the movie are tying the knot in Vegas, and the guys and girls in the movie compete to see who can throw the best bachelor/bachelorette party.
Of course, antics typical of a Kevin Hart movie ensue, and the shit hits the fan in a heartbeat. On the whole, this movie is watchable and not god awful, but it really does nothing for Kevin Hart's career or legacy.
This movie is actually less funny than "Ride Along," but Hart still does just enough to make SOME of the jokes work. The acting is serviceable, but not great, by any means, and the cookie-cutter framework from which the movie unfolds is not remarkable by any means either.
The characters in this movie are also one-dimensional and really don't do anything to stand out besides being there. Kevin Hart has been in several romantic comedies this year, and I can say this one really does nothing to further his career ------------------------------ C+.
