I found some aspects didn't work (forced happy endings yuck), and a few of the actors are out of place against Close and Hunter (Duck-billed Flockhart looking sicker and more emaciated than the person with cancer was very off-putting, and Diaz trying to play straight is always a bit sad to watch) but the writing and direction is extraordinary.
