Nobody else can portray a drug-addicted lawyer like Benicio del Toro. Remember Fear and Loathing? That's right.
There's a point in the movie during which he gets hit by a soccer ball in the head but doesn't seem to react. My husband and I agree that he's wondering if the ball is real, and therefore doesn't react to save himself from looking like an idiot--just in case.
