Review of Things We Lost in the Fire (2007) by Per P — 04 Sep 2008
A very well constructed and directed film, it unfortunately becomes far too repetitious with the grief and emotional scenes. Benicio Del Toro was an unstopable force in this role. He really was very good.
Halle Berry showed too much emotion to be believable, she tried to turn it into a soppy film, when I in fact see that the film is about rebuilding and the hope offered by a second chance.
