Review of Things We Lost in the Fire (2007) by Rabeea'h A — 13 May 2009
Among the 2-3 poignant scenes in the film, one that comes immediately to mind is when Berry grieves for late husband during the first few days. The closeup angular shots of her eyes trying to come to terms with her confusion, pain and stillness were quite distressing.
Bier tries to replicate the acuteness further on but her exertions come full stop courtesy of the beggared scriptwriting.
