Formulaic at times, but plenty of unexpected plot moves allow you to forgive the "Steve Buschemi intro fighting in an alley" bullshit. The film has a great tone to it, not taking itself too seriously and thus, nonchalantly keeping it cool and surprising.
After seeing this, Kiss the Girls, and Runaway Jury, Fleder's sure growin' on me as one of the more under-rated directors out there.
