Review of Thief (1981) by Tyler E — 05 Apr 2016
Michael Mann's debut feature is a good stylish neo-noir film that looks great and boasts a great performance from James Caan. It's story is a rather standard heist movie...with the added flavor of the titular thief needing to take on the man he works for in the end.
It's realy the pacing, the performance from Caan, the great Tangerine Dream score, and the gritty yet stylish look of the film that elevates it into something better.
