Review of They're Watching (2016) by Steve S — 06 Aug 2016
An American home improvement television program visits Moldova to follow up on the renovations a semi-famous LA artist put into her new rural home. When they visit the closest town, the notoriously superstitious local citizens act distrustful and somewhat aggressive toward the crew.
Probably the most terrifying horror-comedy I've yet encountered. Excellently made with fluid dialog, solid acting, great character development, pacing which keeps the audience interested and guessing, and very well-done cgi.
Without a doubt, this is the best movie I've seen all year! And that's saying a lot as they used the worn out found footage trope.
