"They Live." What a title. John Carpenter's 1988 sci-fi/horror actioner about aliens as subliminal message-crazed high society makes me quiver in my high heels. It also makes for some fun 80s ridiculousness along the fun lines of "Night of the Comet," but with much more political and social subtext (seriously - I was shocked at how much it had to say).
It's fun. See it now, Carpenter kids!
