Review of They Came to Cordura (1959) by Private U — 25 Aug 2007
I'm not a humongous fan of westerns--when they're bad they're impossible to sit through, but when they're good, they often border on philosophical. This is a good western--sometimes hard to watch (it isn't violent, but Gary Cooper's character takes an emotional/mental beating).
Rita Hayworth is as good as she usually is, and the supporting cast is solid. All in all, however, it's Cooper's film.
