Sadly, there were no real answers forthcoming from this documentary. At least not any that Diane's family wanted to hear. Such a horrific, sad story. At several points throughout, I was crying and honestly wanted to turn it off but I had to know.
What would cause this woman to drink so much and apparently smoke pot as well, apparently while driving? This was clearly out of character for her based on the word of everyone that knew her. Then I thought the toxicology results must be a mistake.
Her family was so convinced she could not possibly have done this that I found myself questioning the science. Right up until the credits rolled, I so wanted concrete answers for this family. Answers they could live with.
I just don't believe they will ever get them. This tragic mystery will never be solved.
