Review of There's Someone Inside Your House (2021) by Boy_Number_8 — 30 Oct 2021
The premise of the film I found interesting, someone sneaking inside your house while you are asleep to expose your secrets all while wearing a mask of your face.
Unfortunately all interest is lost pretty quickly as the focus leads away from the killer and why they are doing the killings and spends too much time telling overtelling us the main characters secret and trying lazily for us to think the killer is someone it obviously isnt.
While the cast is diverse, they are diverse just for diversity sake. None of the them have any personality to go with it. The gay footballer is just referred to as gay and randomly appears throughout the film just so a character can make a gay observation. Same goes to the non binary person who I guess likes Nasa? that's their whole personality in the film. The acting is fine but the actors had nothing to work with for us to care or make them feel alive.
In the end when we find who the killer is I could not explain to you why they did it, how they learned everyone's secrets or why they why wearing masks of their faces since that had been forgotten.
Its a shame really.
