When I first saw There Will Be Blood at the age of 14 or 15, I thought it was good but the truth is, while I thought it was good, I did not really know what to think. I never saw anything like it. I knew I needed to see again. So I did years later.
And now...it is one of my favorite movies of all time. Layered with hidden meaning, strong themes and subtext of wealth power, religion and the chaos it reigns, outstanding performances and excellent cameawork, There Will Be Blood is a great example of what a masterpiece should be.
