Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Jess L — 06 Feb 2013

Simply amazing, it blew me away in all aspects. The haunting score, the stand out acting (if Day-Lewis doesn't win best actor the system is rigged!) The cinematography was breathtaking - the scenes of the burning oil were incredible and intense.

This film evokes too many thoughts and feelings simultaneously it's hard for me to focus them into a review. This makes my list of favourite movies of all time, which is unusual seeings as I've never been able to narrow down movies before, but when I have a top films list this will be on there without a doubt.

Definitely not a film for everyone, especially those with short attention spans, this is a masterpiece and a true sign there is hope yet for Hollywood.
