Told to be a masterpiece...and rightfully so. Daniel Plainview's path to insanity is spectacular thanks to the near godly work of Daniel Day-Lewis. The fact that Paul Dano was even able to come close to that marvel is a huge accomplishment in that.
Many will argue that the film is too long or too slow, but after seeing the sheer brilliance of this dark film those thoughts will vanish immediately. There Will Be Blood is a phenomenal motion picture, and you will leave the experience thinking Daniel Day-Lewis can do absolutely anything.
