There Will Be Blood is one of the best-made movies in recent memory. Despite the power and grace of the film, I was not surprised to learn that it grossed just over $40,000,000 at the box office, and only $302,000 over its opening weekend.
This movie is far from a summer blockbuster-style movie and is instead a thinking man's epic and one of the best films of the past several decades.
