Daniel Day-Lewis IS insane in this movie. His acting is superb throughout the movie. As my roommate Stephen said "The best movies are the ones that you just say WHAT at the end" and many times that seems to be true especially hear.
While the plot is enjoyable and certainly movies, the real purpose of this movie is to watch a crazy man get even more crazy. You are supposed to be dragged along on a wild adventure with him.
