Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Jonathan P — 30 Nov 2013
There Will Be Blood is another of Daniel Day-Lewis's Oscar worthy performances (anything he seems to do winds up being worthy for a nomination) and for as great as the cast is the story can be a bit slow and rather depressing.
The story of an oil barren whose only true love is his oil and the money that comes from it There Will Be Blood pulls on the viewers emotions and leaves them feeling hollow and empty after all is said and done (though this is exactly what the director was looking for).
Not a fun movie to view and not a movie that will appeal to people who love a good story There Will Be Blood is fantastic viewing for fans of film and fans of thought provoking storylines.
