There will be blood is an American masterpiece with enough frenetic energy to power an entire oil field. To Daniel Plainview the will to succeed is only surpassed by the intoxicating nature of power and will. Day-Lewis is frightening and possessive as Plainview and brings a formidable potency to the stark minimalism of his surroundings.
Greenwood's contribution here is also spectacular.
