Clearly Over rated. Sure there're great performances but it has no plot, is boring and tries too hard to show what greed and money can do to people.

Day lewis is undoubtedly superb and the only reason you can sit through 158 minutes of this movie. Despite its length, at the end of it you don't really find yourself caring about any character. The movie might have checked most of technical points but good cinematography alone doesn't make a good movie. Even the characters felt contrived and never seamlessly blended with the movie, especially that of his brother. You can't be seriously be called a masterpiece with no plot and barely noticeable characters.
